Further fears regarding Facebook’s privacy settings have been raised, after a hacker managed to access photos belonging to notoriously private Paris Hilton.

Canadian hacker Byron Ng started looking for security weaknesses on Facebook after the site announced it had made improvements to its privacy settings.

He was able to access huge numbers of private photos, including one of Paris Hilton (whose new film has just been released) partying after the Emmy awards.

Ng reported his findings to the Associated Press, which then managed to access a personal album belonging to Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.

The fault with the social networking site, which has around 40 million users, was fixed within an hour.

A spokesperson for the site said: "We take privacy very seriously and continue to make enhancements to the site."
