Perfect bar for slice of sophistication

If your idea of a perfect night is sipping cocktails in a modern, classy bar with live jazz providing sophisticated, up-beat entertainment, then Bar 44 might well become your favourite Leamington spot. A young-ish crowd (20s and 30s rather than students) keep the place fairly busy on weekdays, but the lively bar is spacious enough for all. Weekends though can see the place packed out, so get there early if you want a seat.

Friendly staff maintain the bar’s relaxed atmosphere, and the cocktails really are some of the best in Leamington, with fabulous cocktail waiters and a huge menu which is almost as fun to read as it is to sample. The continental-style food is also worth trying, whether it’s light bites in the evening or a full three-course extravaganza.

If you’re on a night out, this is a perfect place to start with a bit of sophistication, before heading on to Moo or Smack, and ending up, probably, in the kebab house. Such is life.
